The Wall

Now that we have finished with an election which divided America, perhaps we can look with honesty at some of the issues which face the world. The world is important. We live in the world. We don not run the world. However, Americans too often are still the ugly Americans of the 1960's novel.

There is a televanglist who invites his views to help him drill more water wells all over the world. But I have never heard speak out of the actions of Israel denying water development by Palestinians. He speaks nothing about the wall which surrounds Palestine.

This wall is an illegal attempt to annex Palestinian land under the guise of security, violates international law, it has the intent or effect to pre-empt final status negotiations, and severely restricts Palestinians who live nearby, particularly their ability to travel freely within the West Bank and to access work in Israel, thereby undermining their economy
