Father - With all due respect, I do believe it is our Christian responsibility to come to the aid of those in need. But assigning that to a highly inefficient government - that will result that we all have worse care is a terrible idea.
Handing over the reign of compassion to a government is not a Christian concept, but more one of Pontius Pilate washing his hands of a problem, hoping to appease an angry crowd.
