Which side are you on - Part 2?

So I again ask, which side are you on? You can make a difference in the lives of your friends and neighbors. And you are called by god to do so. Are you? Your friends, your neighbors are hungry. They don't have jobs. They don't have hope.

I recall the words St. Chrysostom left for us to hear:

There would be no need for sermons, if our lives were shining; there would be no need for words, if we bore witness with our deeds. There would be no pagans, if we were true Christians

But greed on almost everyone parts have left us in an economic crisis. It has left many without jobs. It has left many with little food to feed their children. It has left many lonely and afraid. It has left leaving. What do we have? Where do we go?

Only as a community, as brothers and sisters, will we survive. Only as a community will we be whole again. Only as a community will we be saved. Only as a community will we know God again.

The Mor Gregorios Community is a community of people who have been there, and some are still there. It is a community which together seeks to live our lives with Christ Jesus as the example and as the guide.
